September wedding in Bordeaux, Chateau Lagorce - Olly and Zane
Englishmen Olly charmed this Latvian girl Zane and decided to get married in this wonderful location close to Bordeaux, France - Chateau Lagorce. Lucky for me when, it was time to look for a photographer they found me and after a fun chat with them over Skype we came to a conclusion that I should fly over and shoot their wedding.
This might have been the first wedding where groom was almost late for his own ceremony as the weather during the day was playing tricks, beeing unpredictable, raining at one point, beeing sunny again. So there was a lot of pressure on Olly to make final calls on where to have the ceremony and dinner. Once everything was set, bride almost coming down the steps, with the help of his best men Olly was ready within minutes and headed down to wait for his beautiful bride. And even rain that started mid-ceremony could not ruin the emotional and joyful moment of two becoming one family.
One more thing before you go and look at all the images. Remember how it is important to have your phones on silent, or turned off completely during such an important events like this? Well I guess someone forgot to tell this to a local marriage officiant. It was quite amusing and fun for everyone when beeing asked "If anyone here has any reason why these two should not be joined together, let him speak now or forever remain silent" officiants phone rang. :)
Because of weather playing tricks on us during the wedding day we did not have a lot of time for portraits during the day itself, so we arranged some time for it on the day after and weather was spoiling us with abundance of sunshine and epic storm clouds over the vineyard next to Chateau Lagorce.
As a last suprise for his wife Olly had arranged this amazing looking VW Campervan to travel together through Italy and France for their honeymoon. Such and awesome idea! #honeymoonideas :D
